I just looked at some pics of a guy installing an intercooler on his 6.5. On the air tube from the air cleaner box to the turbo, his had another tube that lead away from the turbo. He referred to it as the turbo "muffler". does anyone know if this actually quiets down the turbo, or is it not effective?

I removed mine. Didn't see any difference one way or another.

Whatever it is, it certainly doesn't have much of any effect on ANYTHING whatsoever.

mine whisteled a whole hell of a lot more after i removed mine.

I was told its proper name was a dampner when i had my chip installed?
