can you put a gas muffler on a diesel? my brothers girlfriend's dad has an 04.5 duramax and found a flowmaster muffler(cheap) from a gas truck and rigged it up to fit a 5 inch pipe. i thought i heard that you couldnt

What was the Inlet/outlet Diameter of the muffler? It might stop it up more than you think, but I may be wrong. I've got my old 4"silverline muffler if he'd be interested.

well he owns a body shop garage and he actually cut off the inlet and outlet and torched them bigger and welded 5" pipe onto it to make it work. he like to jerry rig his own stuff. but thanks for offering the muffler

ive got a dynomax bullet on my otherwise straight pipe and everything is great

The gasser HD's are dual inlet/ single outlet IIRC.
