: Another Cognito leveling kit...
Unit453 12-06-2007, 04:39 PM Rydnhi4x4's truck. Steve's currently in Iraq and he was dumb enough to leave it with me while he's gone....:D
I wanted to wait untill everything melted to get some photos but that'll be spring...Its also tough to judge level ground this time of year so these'll have to do for now.
2" rear blocks, Cognito upper a-arm, Cognito tie rods and new Bilsteins...Pretty much same as what I'm running but I dont have the tie rods yet.
Yes, his lower body panels are linuxed...
I think it looks stout....(of course mine looks better to me) but he'll really like it when he gets back. I also did manage to email him some pictures of it.
Sorry for the shitty photos...There isnt much "pavement" showing this time of year. If anyone is looking for a similar stance, this Cognito is the kit for you.
DURAtotheMAX 12-06-2007, 04:50 PM loookin good.
how does he like the MT/R's?
Unit453 12-06-2007, 04:51 PM He likes them alot....Great traction in snow....A bit too knobby for me though.
AGGAR 12-06-2007, 04:58 PM Looks great. How much of a pita were the upper arms?
Nick you wanna do mine?
HEAVYdutyDMAX 12-06-2007, 04:59 PM Nice, those are on my christmas list...

So is that how you like your women? :D
Nor-Cal Nick 12-06-2007, 07:03 PM What is that white stuff around your trucks:D
Looks great. What did the shop that did the install say about the kit and tie rods?
Nor-Cal Nick
Unit453 12-06-2007, 07:11 PM They said it took them less than 2 hours total install time...Said it went on easy and the front end isnt tracking too far off from where it was. I still have to get it aligned so thats next before I put any miles on it.
That white stuff is an called a "crash excellerant"....It helps you slip and slide all over the place. The additive they put on it to make it go away also helps greatly in the rotting away of frames, body panels, suspension components and brake parts. :D
You want some, come and get it...Preferably out of my driveway...):h
THE TECH 12-06-2007, 07:13 PM Now I know that this is a "leveling" kit, but if the rear comes stock 2" higher than the front, then adding a 2" block in the rear and only raising the front 2-3" means that the front is still lower no? I mean I've checked out the Cognito info and it is toughted as a 2-3" kit. Educate me!

Yes the Cognito 2-3 leveling kit is for just the front. BUT some guys will bring the back up as well to get that raked look back. So at that point it would be used as a complete lift, 2-3" in the front and 2" in the rear. I have installed and sold a 1"-2" block to customers so they can dial in there install for the preferred look.
Hope this helps...

blackbrangus 12-07-2007, 12:22 PM norcal nick if installing a one inch block out back does one need longer u bolts or will the stock ones work

Its very close. I always sell u-bolts for a 1" block. I have heard of some guys that didn't need them. Look at how much thread is hanging lower than your nuts):h and see if you have enough. You want to have about 1/4" past the nut, no less. More the better.

rhinolite 12-07-2007, 11:08 PM Looks great. I love the Linex on the lower part of the truck. How much did the Linex cost?
RYDNHI4x4 12-08-2007, 01:41 PM Cost a grand to do the sides and bed together.
