Fass only filters to 3 microns...Nicktane to 2. Which system would be more beneficial to my stock truck? Why?

Thanks in advance!

I don't know much about the FASS, isn't it kind of pricey?
I got /installed myself a Nicktane. Found it to be a well made, complete kit. Good instructions, easy install. I dropped the driveshaft for more room, as I'm 6'3" 250#.

I echo dirty old man's sentiments. . . Nicktane is a quality kit.

There actually two different systems of better filtering seeing the Fass has a pump and a prefilter and final filter.

The Nicktane retains the Vacuum system pull through ,I guess it depends what and how far you want to go.

Both are mounted Pre OEM filter.

I've been running the Nicktane Cat system for over a year without any problems and have added a cheap lift pump but it only helps with priming at best.

Thanks for the input Mack! I am sure I will be happy with the Nicktane...I was just looking for other opinions. If I really need a lift pump, I will get one later.

I really like the Nicktane. I hope it helps in the long run. I figured better safe than sorry when I decided to get one. Does anyone know where you can get the filters cheap on line?

i haven't found many cat dealers willing to budge online with prices.. belive me i tried. when i researched baldwin's equivalent i was able to get them as cheap as $7.80. that price was from over a year ago so it may have gone up. the cat dealers around here are all around $20/filter..

I just bought a new cat 1R-0749 from the local dealer not quite 2 months ago. Paid $16.47 plus tax for it. I could have gotten an even better deal if I had bought a case of them, but I don't need that many filters just sitting around.

I have a cousin that works for a cat service dealer, might have to check with him if he can get a better deal. In the mean time I'll just keep looking. Like to stay with cat. I'm sure Baldwins are good, but will stay with cat for the known quality.
