Just ordered a 9 piece moulded wood dash kit (brand "Upgrade") from Exotic Wood Dashes .com after reading about it's quality from others who posted treads on this forum. I know that the areas on the dash where the pieces will be installed have to be super clean by using alcohol to get any "armor all" residue off before installation and I plan on using a hair drier to warm the pieces up. For any of you who have installed one of these dash kits or similar ones......any other tips??...........I want this to come out good and don't want the pieces pealing off. Guy at Exotic Wood Dashes said that the new kits don't come with any "activator" like the old ones did because the new kits have been improved and don't require "activator" to be applied to dash before installation. I just took my time and cleaned the areas a few times before applying. Test fit each piece prior making sure there is a good fit. I used the activator and really liked it, but it sounds like they have taken care of that. I think cleaning and applying in warm temp is the key. I have had no problem with any of mine and there were allot of small pieces on mine. Take your time and you'll be fine.
