I just installed grill inserts on my truck, $80 for the parts. They are the type you bolt to the original grill front with push thru toggle bolts, and snug tight. They are billet straight horizontal style inserts.
Now the truck has a howel sound from 30 mph to 42 mph. I put duct tape over the new inserts to see if that was the source of the howel and went for a ride. Yes that is the problem, took tape off and noise is back.
This stinks, anyone have a similar thing happen ? Is it that style of grill ?
Hate to buy another more expensive one and have the same outcome.
I see lots of trucks here have the same type of grill and cant imagine i have the only one that does that.
