Hi

I just bought a 2005 Chevy 2500 Duramax. I then found a wealth of information in this forum.
It seems there is a lot of problems with the injectors in the LB7. About how much per injector does it cost to replace the injectors when you have more than 100,000 miles?

Also is it commen to have to replace all 8 in a short period of time?

2001 and 2002 LB7 with under 200,000 miles are covered under warranty. 3 & 4's are on a case by case basis. There is a ream of info about this.

Injectors are roughly $300 each and you have to return the cores (old injectors). All eight should be replaced if there are problems. They are considered a set and are designed to go together. The injectors were redesigned/improved when the problems of the 01 and 02 LB7's were found so hopefully you don't have to change yours anytime soon. Hopefully they'll come down in price in the future, but who knows.
