Well being that it has been around -5F (~ -20C) up here in the great white north the other day when I was pluggin in my block heater I noticed something new on my driveway... a puddle of tranny fluid. Quick inspection.. since it's colder than a witches teet.. revealed a leak coming from the tranny line up front by the rad. Couldn't exactly see where it was leaking but it was leaking. Tried to check the fluid level (and in a previous post I expressed frustration with this) everytime I pull that damn trans dipstick I get a different reading. Anyone else have this problem? It seems to me like it drags somewhere on the way out and smears the reading. Tried both warm and cold with little luck. Best guess is I was significantly low (which worries the heck out of me). Don't know how long it's been like this and I hope no damage was done to the Ally. Tranny temps have been in the normal range recently so should I be concerned? Minimal driving... took to the dealer and 3hrs later I have 2 new tranny lines.
