I have had my K40 CB ant. mounted to the front rail of my truck bed since day one. Now i want to put on a tonneau cover. I got an Extang Freedom for Christmas and now I will need to move it.
Any Ideas? Where do you guys mount yours?
Anyone have pictures?
Help!! :ro)

I use a few mounts. The stake hole mounts are handy. Here's a picture of one I use:

The foam needs to be trimmed a little more. I change configurations often so I haven't got to that yet.
I also have a couple of magmounts on the roof. I am going to have a two holes drilled in the roof and have 2 NMO mounts installed. I will use Larson antennas to replace the two magmounts. Larsons work well for CB and VHF/UHF.

This may or may not help, but I mounted mine in front of the windshield using the CB mount that dmaxallitech sells on his site (though I fab'd mine myself).
ON EDIT: Wow. Old pic. Those pizza cutters look TINY.

I used the one thought up and designed by SoMnDuramax. Some have used his drawings to have them made or make their own. It looks factory and a 3 or 4 foot FireStick will work fine. No drilling, as it uses the hood mounting bolts. If you want to fab your own, I will be glad to email you the drawings.
Several pics of it and how it mounts are shown here (http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/view?p=999&gid=1230370&uid=147085) down the page.

Paul,
i made my own mounts out of aluminum channel stock. I cut one side off making an "L" bracket and mounted this under the rail of the Downey Tonneau cover rail. I used an extra clamp ut one on each side of the mount plate. You can by the same thing at a Radio Supply store. I have two mouunts. One for a CB and the other for my ham radio One under each side. There was a little gap and I sealed it with GE Silicon. I have had this set up for 2 years and no problems. I grounded both mounts to the rails on the fiver hitch rails to give a good ground for these mounts
Hope you can see this in the pics.
