Well this weekend, riding in a buddies stroker, which has stacked chips, No2 and propane injection, 5" turbo back exhaust, lifted, basically a pretty bad-a$$ truck, one problem is he didn't build up the motor to handle all the power and we took off up this hill and he was pushin it pretty good when all of a sudden it lost power and white smoke was pourin out the exhaust. Well he pops the hood and all the head studs have snapped and cracked a piston. Needless to say I couldn't help but laugh but I also felt bad because he put alot of moolah into the truck with addons but his daddy bought the truck so the ole' man is probably feeling it more than my buddy is. Still sucks tho to build up a truck and its done in a matter of seconds.

That's messed up, but he sounds like a rich kid so whats it matter. Daddy just buy another 1. And I thought it was really common for the fords to do new studs to avoid just that?

That is a risk everybody takes with this hobby.

What year truck was it? Just wondering why he stacked chips, i heard that was a nono on a PSD.

If his cash flow is plentiful, while they have the cab off tell him to get some head studs installed. He'll be able to push it as hard as he wants after that. Also ditch the stack setup and go with an SCT that's all he'll need. Just guessing but I bet its an early model 6.0.
