I just purchased a 2005 Extended Cab Short Bed LT with all the options a couple weeks ago and am waiting for the title from the previous owners bank then I'm flying home to Ohio to pick it up on the 12th. I've already ordered 5" Flo Pro turbo-back exhaust with 6" tip, and am stopping at Summit Racing on the way home from the airport to pick up a Keystone functional ram-air hood and intake, a TCI trans pan, and possibly some gauges. I'm ordering an EFI live tuner, amsoil bypass filter, new trans filters and some synthetic trans fluid and oil in the next few days. My future plans are to put nitrous and water methanol injection on it and for looks to put some 325-50-R20 tires on 20" rims, a grill and some different lights all around.

Oh and my user name is what my liscense plate is going to say, sorry if got excited that a(nother) chick was joining and driving a diesel.

Welcome to DP.

Sounds like it's going to be a bad truck when finished.

Keep us posted.

Summit will price match anyone so I might just get them there to save on shipping. I ordered EFI live from So-cal with the 5 position switch. I got a liscense plate frame that you can write your own stuff on and across the top it says "THIS IS MY" then the plate is "OTHR GRL" then across the bottom it says "6.6DIESELPOWER"

I already bought the truck from a guy in Pittston PA and it's at my parents' house in Burghill, OH (the Youngstown-Warren area) waiting for me to register it in OH and get temp plates on it.
I've never had much trouble with Summit - they return parts no problem, give me the right stuff (I always check my bag as I leave though), and have helpful staff for the most part. I have the cell number for one of the retail store's salesman and call him for car advice all the time even when he's off work. I've probably spent about $10K at Summit in the last year or so with no complaints.

Well I still haven't gone to get my truck in Ohio yet but so far I've ordered EFI Live with DSP5 switch, 5" flo pro SS turbo back exhaust with 6" polished tip, mag-hytec trans pan and deep suction and spin on filters, these gauges in a kit from dieselmanor.com http://www.dieselmanor.com/dipricol/dipricol_combos.asp (http://www.dieselmanor.com/dipricol/dipricol_combos.asp), amsoil BK17EA bypass and full flow oil filter kit, and on the way home from the airport I am stopping at summit racing in Tallmadge to get a keystone functional ram-air hood and intake. I plan on running full synthetic mobil 1 or royal purple trans fluid and in 5,000 miles will install the bypass filter and switch to full synthetic Rotella. Next I am considering injectables just not sure if I want to do propane, water-methanol, nitrous, or a combination.

Still waiting to fly home to get my truck but have ordered 20 x 9 Incubus Alloys Poltergiest 8 black and aluminum rims with Coopser Zeon XST 305/50-20 tires. Halo projector headlights and markers with black background, smoked cab and 3rd brake lights, black altezza style tail lights, brushed aluminum door handles, and white face overlays for the stock gauges. Can't wait to get home today sn pick up the hood and drive my truck then get it down here in a week to start installing the stuff that has been sent down here.

Just an update. Don't think I'm coming along too bad - got EFI loaded with DSP5 and have been playing with that, got my exterior lights all changed out, got the 305/50-20s on with rims, removed all emblems and stickers, and installed the 5" "turbo-back" (which is actually only downpipe-back) Flo-Pro exhaust on. Waiting for gaskets to get BD manifold on with EGT gauge, and ordering amsoil synthetic trans fluid and re-ordering bypass oil filter filter kit (my buddy was changing his oil and bought it off me) so that I can get the trans pan and temp gauge, and new filters on. Now I'm gonna start saving for a trans build.

Thanks for the compliments, I wish funds weren't an issued but they are now tapped out. I pulled my savings from the 2 years I was stationed in Japan and hardly left base to pay off a credit card and loan, put a small downpayment on OTHRGRL and buy all the upgrades I have bought so far. Now the upgrades will be coming much slower, but hopefully the second job at AutoZone helps a little - just finding time after the 60ish hours a week I work for Uncle Sam to work there and still work on and enjoy the truck might ba a challenge. Maybe I'll work as much as possible until I save enough for the trans and hood and then I'll slow down with the second job. Just gotta try to get her built the way I want her (or well on her way there) before I get out of the Corps and get more serious with my girl friend.
