I was under the impression that the LLY was 300hp/520tq in first and fifth gears and 310hp/590tq in gears 2-4. Hypertech said that stage one program ups the torque by 32hp/68 lbs of tq which would put my truck at 332hp/588tq in gear 1 and 5 and 342hp/658tq in gears 2-4 Right? Looking over there website last night I noticed that they used a truck with a six speed trans in it for their testing. The LLY that comes with the six speed has been detuned from the factory to 300hp/520tq in all gears. That means that after I reprorgam my truck I would have 332hp/588tq in all gears. Am I missing something here or according to my math am I really just adding 22hp and losing 2lbs of torque after reprogramming withe stage one? Anyone who knows is more then welcome to respond.

Thanks

I can't help you with the LLY info, but I think Hyper Tech doesn't give you 100% what they claim. I like their product but not what they tell you. I got approx. a gain of 74hp and 100tq for my lb7(they quote 90hp and 150tq). I was expecting more in the torque range. I saw one of their displays at a performance store and it said their testing was done with 215s size tires instead of the factory 245s. It kinda makes you wonder what kind of conditions their test were really done in.Good luck

All the HP claims are ballpark figures that are plus/minus a few. Best way to see what the gain is, is to dyno the sucker.

It's important to remember that those ratings are at the crank, so real world numbers will be less. So you can figure that real numbers are calculated with (Crank HP/TQ - 17%) = RWHP/TQ
