Is there a way to shift our trucks into two-wheel low while in four-wheel low, or install a switch to disengage the front wheel at will?

When you asked this question yesterday, I gave you a link to the thread that I answered this question in. Here is my post, copied to this post:

What year? Which t-case? Electric shift or manual? In some cases, (2004 w/NP1 for example) you can make a fused jumper with a toggle switch to use in place of the 4wd fuse in the IP fuse block. This fuse runs the front axle actuator only, there is a seperate fuse for the encoder motor.

The instructions that I gave you would work well in your truck. Just pull out the 4wd fuse in the left hand side of the dash, make a fused jumper with a toggle switch and run it to one of the blanks in the dash panel. Hope this helps. This may cause a service 4wd light, but it will work, and the light will go out when you switch it back on.

I want to make a neat installation, which is functional and not unsightly.:(

I suppose you mean by making a fused jumper, is to use a fusible link, attatched to a fuse blank in the fuse box and some type of toggle or pushbutton switch.

Thank you for your reply,

Yeah, just get a cheap fuse holder with pigtails, run one of the ends to the 4wd fuse location, remove the 4wd fuse, put a small spade terminal on one end stick it where the 4wd fuse was, run the other end to a toggle or rocker switch, and from the switch back to the open 4wd fuse terminal. Put a fuse in your new fuse holder, and you are done. Now you have a "switchable" power source to the 4x4 actuator.
