I just bought a 96 extended cab 4x4 duelly with a 6.5 in it,and when I test drove the truck the blower motor worked fine. After I bought the truck and left, the blower didn`t come on until I was 2 miles down the road, and then it worked fine. Now every time I start the truck the blower doesn`t come on until it`s driven a bit.Any suggestions would be great,as it`s cold in Kentucky. Thanks

Welcome Superdave!
It's ccold here also.
Have you simply tried wiggling the heater knob? Maybe a bad connection issue.
If not, the resistor may need replacing.

Do a search " heater connection" or something to that effect, was a post not that long ago about that very same problem

Try wacking the blower moter. I had one that would do that sometimes. Smacking it with a snow brush usuall got it to turn on until I bought a new blower moter.

I had the same issue. I first replaced the relay,(borrowed one from another truck). That made no difference. I replaced the blower motor (it was screeching anyway), then put a used control panel in it. That did the trick.
