Hello, I was sent a link to here by a member on Honda-tech.com. I just purchased a 2002 GMC Sierra 2500hd, and wanted to find a good forum to read and post in. Browsing through the site has assured me that this site is a good one for Duramax owner or enthusiasts.
I have always admired diesel powered vehicles, and longed to own a diesel pickup of my own for quite some time. My recent ex-girlfriend was a diesel pickup owner (2004 Ford F-250 Lariet CC/SB 6.0psd/TS-5spd) and avid horse rider. She used her pickup to tow the horses around, and for everyday use as well. I liked her pickup, but something wasn't quite right... it was a Ford. My uncle and cousin both have Cummins powered pickups (a common rail and a 12 valve respectively), and often times pushed me to go the way of the Cummins. I like the Cummins motors a lot, but I am not keen of the transmissions they put behind them, or of the trucks they install them in. I grew up a Chevy/GMC fan, and until recently I had not found one that fit my needs (crew-cab, long-bed, non dually)... that all changed recently.
