Wanting to here what everyone thinks about there aftermarket exhaust. Im getting ready to purchase a kit for my 05 lly. Im looking for something not to loud but not to quiet either. Im thinking MBRP, Magnaflow or Bully Dog at this point. The kit I purchase will be 4" turbo back. Your input will be appreciated.
Thanks

I've got the Silverline 4" T-409 Stainless Turbo back with polished straight thru muffler and polished 5" tip. It sounds good, no drone and was cheap $454 shipping included.

I suggest either MBRP or Magnaflow. Give me a holler, we have both kits on sale right now.

The difference between 4" and 5" is sound and looks. 4" is going to give you the biggest bang for the buck. If you want a louder, more aggressive sound, go with 5". Both MBRP and Magnaflow kits are bolt in systems which require regular hand tools to install. Depending on your hydration level, you are looking at a 4-6 beer project.:D

What is the difference, power/sound wise, from turbo back and cat back? I am thinking of purchasing a 4" as well. Thanks

Cat-back is going to sound very close to stock and drop EGTs 100-150 depending on engine load. A full system will have a low rumble with increased turbo whistle. You can expect another 50-100 deg drop with the cat gone. Exhaust systems are not for power as much as they are for EGT reduction. You can expect a 10-25 hp gain though depending on the dyno used. Seat of the pants you wont notice a huge gain, but you can definately tell something has been done.
