Is there a way to disable the "door ajar/dome light stays on, alarm won't engage" feature? Also, can the seat belt warning be disabled/overridden? I drive on ranch roads often and have to constantly listen to the ding, ding ding :mad:

Not sure, but there should be 2 wires on receiver side of belt assembly. Try a jump wire to confirm. Isn't there a dome override button just below your headlight switch near the door on dashboard?

I just got to thinking, if I could stick an "extra" steel buckle in the slot. Attach it on a string or something around the cneter console?? I know where I might be able to get some, if anybody else is interested. I know about the dome override button, but what I want to do is NOT have the dome light stay on when a door is ajar. I would like it to come on when I open the door. ??

IIRC you can go to your dealer and tell them that your mother-in-law is really fat and needs a seatbelt extender :) and they will give it to you for free. This would give you the extra bukle that you need.

Search a little and you will find someone told what wire to mess with to stop it from dinging.
