I just picked up my LB7 2500HD after 4 Wheel Parts in Temecula Ca. installed a Juice W/Attitude on the pillar, aFe CAI, Air lift bags & controller, and a 4" MBRP Cat back with a 5" tip. I think the cat will go missing in a few days. I love it after only 10 miles, but I do have a question! What is boost? There isn't anything in the Edge owners manual that tells a newbie what it is or means.

Thanks

simply put, boost is pressure above atmospheric pressure. it is a way of monitoring your tubocharger. driven from the exhaust, it pushes more air into the engine for more power capability. with your set up, you shouldnt see over ~22psi. AND, your truck should not have a cat on it.

He said he is in the peoples republic of Kalifornia so yes it should have a cat from the factory and probably egr too.

Jeez, what next? So what's a EGR and how does it come off?

I will be registering the truck in South Dakota by early spring, but I'll probably find a new home for the cat in the next week.

Thanks again,

Exhaust gas recirculation, on the newer trucks you can get a blocker plate and a fingerstick for the check engine light the comes on when you block the egr or turn the egr off with custom programing. I dont know if you can do that on the lb7 or not.
