: Fuel leak @ filter mount

I've got a 1988 K1500 with a 6.2. A fuel leak has developed on top of the mounting block for the filter. This is the plate directly behind the throttle body. Where the wires for the (I'm guessing here) water sensor go into the top of this block is the source of the leak. What is the sealing method for this connection? Bonded, o-ring, threaded?????
Any help would be appreciated.

throttle body..hmmm...I'd like to see that one ;)

I'm not sure exactly what makes the seal where your talking about, but I would say your best bet is to take the filter base off and either clean it yourself and try to find new o-rings, or take it to a fuel shop and have them clean it up and replace the seals with 'extras' for you. I would also change the filter while you have it off.

 Good point! Throttle body is probably the wrong terminology in this case! How about air intake plenum?! Thanks for the reply and have a Merry Christmas!:)

Are you sure it is not the filter that is leaking? The only place for leaks are the filter mounting, inlet and outlet connections (including the hoses or clamps), heater and water sensor pads, and a loose water or air drain valve .
