They are both good tires, but i like the mt much more. They get alomost as good of tread life as the at and look way better.

I have the ats and they dont clean very good at all. Do the mts make much noise.

Not excessive noise, but yeah they are kinda loud.

the toyo a't's are really the same tire as a Nitto Terra Grappler. Toyo makes nitto like michelin makes bfg. the nitto has a more aggressive looking sidewall and are usually about 20 or 30 dollars cheaper per tire. so look into those as well.

Don't go with the Nitto M/T unless you like the growl and can afford to buy new ones every 15K miles. I just replaced my Nitto Muds for a set of Toyo open country and its like night and day.... The Toyo's have a slight humm on the freeway but not loud at all. I have friends that have gotten 45K miles out of a set of Toyo's. My nittos only lasted me 18K and the freeway noise was so bad i couldn't hear my sweet turbo wistle

I'm talking about the terra grapplers NOT the mud grapplers. the terra grapplers and the toyo a/t's are the same tire and tread pattern w/ the exception of the nittos having a more aggressive looking sidewall. and the nittos are still cheaper and wear the same

I just bought a set of Toyo M/T's. I'll have them tomorrow. They sure aren't cheap. $214 apiece for 285"s  but I'm tired of 8ply M/T's.

The Nitto Terra Grappler and Toyo Open Country AT ARE NOT the same tire, and do not have the same tread pattern, or even close to the same patern, other than the fact that they are both rubber. The Toyo is a far superior tire, it may not have as cool of a sidewall but it does have better traction and is longer lasting.

I have had both the Toyo AT and MTs, and I will say that unless you are doing a fair amount of off-roading or just plain old want the best looking tire regardless of noise or wear, go with the ATs. Plus personally, the MTs get chowed every time I tow with them.

i had to get my truck lifted another 2 inches in the front because te rubbing was so bad, and then we lifted it another inch in the back. looks nice now. perfect. they are a lil noisy but the ride is awesome. i just hope they dont get too chewed when i tow
