Find the waste gate hose for the turbo and T it in. My egt probe is on my driver's side manifold. Look above your shock mount and you will see it.

Depends if your going pre or post turbo. If your going pre turbo, search for the "Hoot Method". If your going post, you may need to weld a nut onto the down pipe. You can read boost from the wastegate line unless you want actual post intercooler boost - then you have to drill and tap downstream of the intercooler.

thansk guys.well be putting it post turbo so i guess well have to drill a hole and tap it or weld a nut.

pics of the boost install anyone... hoots seem to be gone, unless I'm blind, which happens a lot these days. Must be the lack of sleep from the 1 year old in the house.

Here's mine. It's not the most professional install, but it works...

we T'd our boost line into the wastegate line.were getting 21-22 lbs. out of it.this right?all stock cept for no muffler or cat.this is an automatic.where do you guys all install youre EGT probe?this is the autometer guage with the 6' or 8' yellow wires,iv heard not to extend or shorten them or the guage will read wrong.is this true?because if we put it in the passenger side manafold(easiest place) the wire wont reach.

then install it on the drivers side? It's a bit more of a pain, primary reason for passenger side is ease of access to drill/tap. My lead that came with the banks 6 gun reached fine.

this one dosnt reach.we looked at both manafolds and the passenger side is indeed easier,i just need to know if you can lengthen the lead without messing up the calibration of the guage?

I talked to EDGE about that and they said that it wouldn't matter.

Autometer makes two lengths of leads I had the long one (I think its either 8 or 12' long). It reached to the passenger side with about a foot to spare. Maybe you can call your dealer and get him to swap. My truck is totally stock and the highest boost I see is 21 psi and 1200°F. I have heard of 1350°F on a stocker though.

i just talked to a rep at autometer.they said that if you lengthen/shorten the lead then you will mess up the calibration of the guage.looks like were gonna have to put it in the drivers side.
