I currently installed the Transfer Flow Fast-Fill Fillneck connected to an OEM 36 gallon tank, and having problems filling fuel with the larger truck stop diesel fill nozzle. I have adjusted the Teleflex vent hose twice now with no luck. The first time, I set the Teleflex vent hose at the 3 o’clock position per the instructions. I was only able to fill up using the first notch on the larger truck stop fill nozzle. Next, I adjusted the Teleflex vent hose to the 1 o’clock position and again tried to fill up with the larger fill nozzle, but had no success.
What position must the Teleflex vent hose be installed in order to fill up with larger fill nozzle at wide open or is there something else that needs to be done?

I have their fast fill neck, and the 30gal in bed.
I find that the position on the nozzle determines whether or not it does a premature shut off. I think it is the way the fuel is flowing into the tank.
Try different positiions (no smart comments) and see what happens.
Good luck

I have the Transfer flow fill neck on my truck and really love it. The vent hose is pretty small and can not vent air as fast as you are trying to fill the tank. I believe Trasfer flow gives a spec as to the flow rate. I am just happy to be able to use the big nozzles at all. Even on the first click which is what I always use the flow rate is still plenty fast for me.

I cannot punch the fast fill large nozzles either, but regardless on the second click it doesn't puke on your socks either!

I think the transfer flow fill neck is more for being able to USE the big nozzles than to fill it up on the third click. The big truck pumps pump VERY large amount's of fuel for the big truck's with 3" opening's on the fuel tank's and the little fill neck and vent in our truck's can't keep up with it. My 80 gallon tank on my big truck can fill up in a minute or so. So if it work's on the first click for you I think that is good.
And WHY did GM switch to the smaller neck's for the 01 to 03 MY
My 93 Diesel Dually could use the BIG nozzles no problem from the factory, so somewhere some idiot engineer decided to put smaller neck's in our truck's WHY WHY WHY
And of course now that enuf people complained they switched back to the larger neck's but did they replace our 01 to 03's free of charge NOOOOOOOOOO

Diesels detergent qualities causes much foaming. TF vent hose is only 5/8" and really can't handle/vent as fast as the max fill position displaces the air. Then when the foam head builds its even more tetchy. Still, better'n stock/oem.
