Tonight while backing into parking spot. When I put it in reverse it would go then it was like you bumped it into neutral then back to reverse real quick. I stopped put it in neutral then back to reverse and it did fine then. Trans fluid level is good. fluid was changed maybe 5000 mi ago. have never limped it either. Any thoughts on what it could be.

Any other symptoms, such as doors locks not functioning properly in and out of park, dash indicator(PRND321) not working? If so, the NSBU is to blame, if not, check driveline joints, or linkage adjustments, see also other threads...

How much throttle? If you were spinning at all, like in gravel, sand, etc., these trucks do jump alot.

i would check the u joints. or check the yoke on the rear axle. it could need to be greased?

you didn't accidentally run over a chunk of ice?

sometimes when its cold out and i back up a piece of ice under the tire feels like a pop in the gear train
