i have come to find out that the rod on the side of a turbo of a 6.5 is was easy to pull out than a 94 7.3 ford. Now for the question what would happen if i figured some sort of harding pulling for my chevy on the wastegate would it help any or just a waste of time?

yea it didnt make since to me either......the gold thing on the side of the turbo i assume is the wastegate aculator or something. well my chevy pulls out easier than the ford powerchoke i have sitting in my garage. sooo i wanted to know if putting more tension on that rod would help my turbo.

now it makes sense. it's vacuum activated. the only other option would be a home made turbo master or heaths t/m. it should be tough to move while the engine is running, engine off it'll move easily. Ed

ROFL... putting it in English made a hell of a difference.

You have a '93 ... it's a mechanical activator, not vacuum.

And yes, the spring sucks and needs to be tighter, so you're definitely on the right track. Do a search for Tracy. He has a 93 and did a modification on his spring controller that worked really well. I seem to recall he posted pictures of it.
