The Revtek 2" spacer leveling kit is nice because it uses cast aluminum spacers. I heard a while back some guys were popping the shock tower studs though after a while.

One of mine popped recently. I heard it when it did.

Called Revtek.... they called Rocky Mountain Suspensions where I purchased it from and a new kit with stainless steel studs was shipped before I woke up next morning.

Change of plans though....

I ordered the Kore 2" Spring leveling kit. I will ebay the new Revtek kit when I get it.

Kore was T-Rex.... you may have seen his stuff in Four Wheeler Mag. I had the pleasure of ordering directly from Kent Kroeker (Kroeker Off Road Engineering) himself.

The KORE kit comes with custom designed long-travel coil springs and a pair of excellent zinc-plated, nitrogen-charged, mono-tube Bilstein 5100 Series shocks. The coils and shocks are guaranteed for life. That was $350.

In addition I purchased two matching rear shocks ($150) and custom front bump stops ($50). Total was $550 + shipping.

Lucky I saved the reciepts to my wifes Xmax giftshttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/images/smilies/eek.gif

BTW, anyone considering doing this the prices are rising shortly.

I've also heard of that problem with the leveling kit. It's the reason I haven't installed one yet. Not having installed one, I'm having difficulty understanding exactly what is breaking. I know you had to have taken a picture of it.... :)

The studs are where the three places that the shock tower mounts on top of the spring...

This is the stock stud setup... sits on top of the coil spring...

This is the Revtek spacer with the new studs installed....

And here is a pic of the installed setup. You can see one of the nuts..

So only the additional spacer was damaged and nothing on the truck?

Hoot,do you think the weight of the plow was the culprit ?

No because others have reported the shock tower studs breaking. It's an issue with the hardness of the studs Revtek WAS using. They were too brittle is the thinking.

Only installed the plow a few weeks ago and haven't used it... no snow but maybe Sun night... Monday.

Hoot...definitely hope you post some install pics of the KORE leveling kit. I checked out there site and was pretty impressed. Still trying to decide on what lift kit though. I have found several level kits (all poly) with studs like your Rev Tec. I found a few all steel/aluminum, but the studs might be cheap there too. One way or another, the trucks look so much better a little higher..........

Do these kits cause any steering or drive line angle problems? I am new to the Dodge but I have built up a blazer with a 3" lift and had to buy other parts to re-align the steering and had drive line issues. Is this not a problem with these kits? Also does it only raise the front end?

Also does it only raise the front end? The only thing you need to do is restore some caster angle. I did that myself with a little trial and error. Not much to play with when adjusting a straight axle. Two eccentric bolts adjust the caster. It's not enough lift to mess with anything else. Also need longer shocks as the stock ones will top out.

Yes it only raises the front.

I had problems with my REV TECH spacers, one of the studs sheared off so I went down to REV TECH and they gave me a new set of spacers and stainless studs which are a softer grade stud than the ones oringinally installed which allow for a little more flex. They said only the diesels seemed to be having the problem
