I need to get a pair of 32" to 36" hoses for my by-pass filter set-up. I was thinking of using high pressure hydraulic hose. This has plenty of pressure rating and good compatability with petroleum products but the high temp. rating on the AEROQUIP brand hose I was looking at was only 212F.
Any other choices and suggestions.
Thanks in advance. Brian.

That temp is rated at the highest pressure rating. Which I believe is at approx 3500 psi. There is a company called Parker that makes some nice, but expensive hoses that are made specificaly for gas only. I am not sure if they make ones for liquid. The gas rated hoses can handle high temps and pressure with out looking like they swallowed a bunch of rats.
Last I looked, if you have the Amsoil bypass set up, is that they were 1/2 inch jic connections. If this is not correct I am sure you could put 1/2 inch in place of the 7/16 since it is alot easier to get the 1/2 inch than the other sizes.
I was leery of the jic connections being under my truck and haveing vibrations, but so far so good and dealing with them at work they have not come loose. Just a concern.
I would think a swedge lock connection would work better with a stainless steel braided line like on a radiator hose. The hose should handle the temps and pressure.
