ok i have a 5inch exhaust with a magna flow muffler from the turbo back and no cat. my question is if i go with straight pipe no muffler how much of a performance difference is there and will it effect me when i tow?

Some say that you might see a little performance increase, but maybe not. Pretty hard to notice when I did it. Definately sounded stronger and better though. The benefit to towing would probably be lower EGT's which you definately want.

i heard u lose backpressure also, is that true

Diesel Power Mag did a Dyno test on a Cat vs. No Cat Exhaust. Take a gander at that on their website..

You should have no problem with back pressue. Thousands of members are running straight piped exhaust, and if their was a problem. You would see BIG number arise pertaining to it.

ok so i got off work and ran straight to my buddies muffler shop and cut that thing out....DAMN!!!!!! it fuggen loud feels alil more responsive and throws more smoke.... thanks fellas. i love it

my exhaust was already loud now that thing sounds like a beast. efi live here i come
