Anyone know of a good remote start for a diesel that delay starts.

You don't want a timed delay start. What you want is one that monitors the wait to start light and starts the truck after the light goes off. Check out www.astroflex.com

I have the Crimestopper 2015-FM2 and it monitors the wait to start light. Most remote starts have that option and if they don't, you are looking at one that is too cheap.

I have the Viper model 791xv. It works great.

You can also look at compustar. One of the other things is that alot depends on the installer!

I have a Designtech, & it works great. Only thing is, If you re-start it after the engine is warm. Mine waits about 30 extra seconds after a time out of not getting a wait to start light because the engine is already warm. Starting it from a cold start it works great.

Which Astrostart is most commonly used? I'd like to put one in both the Yukon XL and 2500HD.

The 2205 is a nice unit.

I'll second that....I just put one in and it's really easy to use. I like the leds over the picture lcd. I thought the picture lcd was harder to read ...for me anyways...besides, the remote of the 2205 is a little smaller..

I'll third that, I put one in a bit back and absolutely love it. This thing is pretty Gucci, especially for the price. Install pretty easy, too, if you have a knowledgeable dealer provide you with pictures and tons of info (as Max Power did in my case).

I was at SAM's and they have a Bulldog (I think?) It said that it was for diesels too. It was only $89. I almost bought one. Does anyone know anything about this one?

Buckshot, the last thing you want in your truck is a cheap remote start. The remote start that you would have bought for $89 would not start your truck because it will not include a passlock bypass. Plus if you buy form a place like that you will have no tech support or vehicle specific information.

Well it definately isn't as good for it as one that waits for the light.
