Are you going to put sensors back into the new set?

Make sure to reuse your OEM sensors it will save you allot of money, You may need to get new stems but you can reuse the sensors.

What happens if you toss on snow tires/wheels with no sensors? DTC? I'm fine with not buying a 2nd set of sensors for my 2nd set of wheels and manually monitoring pressures.

Thanks,
Russ

Everytime you start the truck you will have a light on the DTC. You can get past the mesage on the DTC by hitting the check button but the light will stay on. Remote start and all other functions will still work.

Like others have said put your sensors from your old wheels into the new ones. Have the tire guy mark each tire location, RR RF LR LF, that way you dont have to re-learn their position. You might also have a problem with tire pressures, the TPMS wants high pressures.

My issue will be when I switch to snow tires. Rather than swap the snow tires over to the original wheels, I bought a set of cheap used wheels to mount the snows on.

Also, some folks believe in lowering the rear tire pressures to 50 or so when not hauling loads.
