I run 20x9.5 wheels with Toy0 Open Country 305/50/20's. T-bars cranked about 1" and a little trimming. No rubbing issues. Tough to turn wheels in parking lots sometimes at slow speeds, but they look great. Also run Air-ride bags in back of truck to level, raise or support when hauling 5th wheel.

I'm surprised your set up works fine. I just went to a shop and they said it would rub even if I did a leveling kit. They said in particular that it would rub when turning tight. They suggested that if I wanted to run 305/50/20's that I would have to do a 4" CST lift. I don't want to do that because the track increases in the front which I think looks terrible unless its a 6" lift.

Your rims are wide - 9.5". Do you know the offset or backspacking? Maybe they stick out so they don't rub on the inside?

Thanks.

A lot of guys here have 305/55/20's. Not sure on their offset, but I've seen them-I'm sure with some trimming too. Maybe they will chime in. Here's one that I saved of a member here:

My truck has the Congito upper Control Arm kit and fully cranked torsion bars. Here is mine with 305 55 r 20s toyo AT's. I have 20x9 0 offset wheels and they rubbed really bad. If you get a +18 or higher ofset you should have much less problems.

I had to do some fender trimming on the edge of rocker panel behind front wheel.

I plan to go to 305/50"s once this set of tires is worn out.

If you go with leveling kit, high positive offset wheel and the 305/50's I bet you will be fine. There are more pics in my garage.

Let us know how you turn out.

NBS trucks are way different when it comes to tire clearance. Nice truck though!

i run a 305/50/20 with a -10mm offset and 4.95 backspacing.. had to trim the front and rear fenderwells with the t bars cranked about 1.5''...doesnt rub now but the 55 series rubbed too much for me.... i would go at leat +10mm or up to 20mm maybe not too sure

i have a 305/50 on my 20" with a -10mm offset with 4.75 backspacing and i couldnt fit any bigger without tons of rubbing...i already trimmed the fenderwells and cranked the bars up about half way..so you might want a +10 to +18 with around a 5.4'' backspaceing to have a bigger tire on there

Stay with me. Not sure of my offset, my wheels are Devino Road Concepts Silo 8. My current camera is no longer compatible with Windows Vista. Bought a new camera today...as soon as I figure it out I will post Pics. A lot of guys comment on the wheels and stance of my truck...really stands out among stockers, I guess.

Looks good! No trimming, I'd assume with the mud flaps and valance still in order.

Glad I found this thread I've been looking at 305-50-20 tires and rims and wasn't sure what would fit without rubbing and how they would look on the truck. Looks great and with the right backspacing shouldn't rub.

How about a 2.5 frount lift w 305/55/20 and Moto Metals 20x9 with a 5.5 back space.Will this work.

That should definately work from what I've read Beach Gomer. I have no lift and am replacing the 285-75-16s that don't rub on mine with that size tire and rim only mine have 5.39" backspacing. You are close to the 18-20mm offset that was suggested earlier in this thread to fit without lift, so with 2.5" of lift you should have extra clearance.

I just got my 305/50-20 tires on 20 x 9 rims with +10mm offset and they fit perfect with no rubbing. After comparing to my buddy's stock truck I think a previous owner cranked the torsion bars or put a leveling kit on my truck and they did some trimming on the lower valance. I had 285/75-16s on it prior to this with no rubbing so if you have that size and don't rub 305/50-20s should fit fine.
