My OnStar is out--I get the red light at startup, but no green light and the voice commands/phone don't seem to work even though phone is displayed on the radio. Can't call car from cell either. Wondering if there's a fuse or something I can check myself before going to the dealer. thanks!

Just had mine in to the dealer this morning for the same problem. Turns out nothing works when parked in my yard or close in area but a few miles from here everything works. Dealers check showed all okaky. This means where I live is a dead area and not reached by the sattelite. It was okay during the summer so the sattelites orbit is changing to get out of my reach from my driveway. So much for Onstar, wish some one else had it and I had my money back


CORRECTION: My red lightg did not come on but the green ones did.

Got this fixed last week -- apparently there's a tsb about onstar locking up the radio. the dealer reflashed it and it worked fine. I did have to reset the personal calling with onstar though--i had minutes but the system said personal calling not available. after a few minutes on the phone with onstar they fixed the problem and gave me 60 minutes credit on my account! Right on OnStar!
