I have 285-55/20 Dune grapplers and a truxx leveling kit and I am still getting a little rub. I have 41.5" between ground and wheel well. Has anyone cut the metal in the wheel well out to clear. I think this is an easy fix.

i cut a triangle wedge from behind the inner fender lip on the cab side. cut about 1" on the wide side and taper it to nothing and fold back the fender. you will have plenty of room then.

I had to cut about 2" out of the back of mine. No big deal, just a little freaky to be cutting on a 50000.00 rig.
Good luck and be sure to re-seal whatever you cut with some paint so not to rust.

Would you guys mind posting pictures of how you did the cut? Mine are still rubbing bad.

Thanks in advance.

Make sure that the parking brake cable isn't pushing the wheel liner into the tire on the driver's side. Mine was rubbing with the stock 265/70/17s. I used a zip tie to pull it back. I have also my coworker that has a NBS GMC like mine used several zip ties to pull the wheel liners back after he put on a 6" lift with some big bling tires and rims.

Mine is still rubbing on the metal inner fender, even after using the BFH.

I cut mine this way and then had a body shop weld in a plate to stifen the edge and repaint the whole thing. Cost me $600. No more rubbing.

Brain fart here, from what angle are we looking here? I can't make sense of it. Thanks for the pic, this is what I wanted.

That would be drivers side, behind the front tire, looking up at the rocker panel.

For shock extension brackets and $600 for the body shop to chop and paint your fender you could have gotten a cheaper 4-6" lift kit???? Then have no rub and not cutting.

I did not want lifted truck.

I run a plow in the winter. Have not seen a lift that lets you mount plow.
