There was a company called RD (maybe RD Engineering?) that used to produce controllers that would allow the fog lights to come on when the headlights went on (don't have to push the button) and they also had one that kept the low beams on with the high. I've run these in other trucks with good results so I'd like to do the same with my '05 Sierra. Does anyone know of a company that produces these?

It can be done with diodes at the BCM...

I've read about that a little but am trying not to go that route.

Blue, I remember seeing this posted some time back. Do you know where or have a link? I would like my fogs to come on when the lights come on also. They really help to see the Deer by lighting up the side of the road.
Thanks.

If someone knows how I too would like to have my fog's come on with the headlights everytime.

TJ,
We forgot to do this on my remote install. Gotta make sure Kennedy doesn't see this, he absolutely hates the fogs on! :)

Didn't they say it was R&D or something like that on the another site and they may not be still around?

I rerigged my diodes in canada because it was so dark. My lows are just lows... my highs are lows, highs, and fogs... it's freakin dark up there...

Can you give us a clue on what needs to be done and how?
Thanks.

Yeah, someone on another board said that they closed. I have their controllers in my '02 HD so I might see what info is on there. I'm more concerned with the fog lights over the low/highs together.

Thanks.shoot. if I had a camera that worked I would explain it even better.
This is going to sound all jacked up, but here's a shot at it.
Go to radio shack and buy some diodes. Generally the bigger ones are better, although these won't have a TON of power flowing. You will want to solder a Y shaped piece of wire together, with diodes allowing power flow to the 2 ends from the 1 end.
The <<< means power is going that way. Imagine what you are making is a one way street that splits into 2 one way streets.
------<<<DIODE----\< p> Diode-----\
---------<<<<
------<<<DIODE---- p <> Diode-----/
Once you do that, you have yourself one lead that can power 2 other leads. When you stand at the drivers side of your truck with the hood up, and open the fuse panel under the hood, you can see a BUNCH of relays.
Look at the diagram that is there on the cover, it'll tell you which relay is which.
Now, all you do is hook the single wire around the relay post off the high beams, the upper or lower right hand side off the relay will work.
Then, do the same thing to the UPPER RIGHT pole of the low and fog lights relays. It has to be the upper right pole because that's the "positive" that actuates the relay to supply power to the lights.
The way I do it, without soldering the wires to the relays or hacking into the actual harness, means it's removable when I don't want it anymore... which after I have my 8 PIAA HID lamps... I won't need it.
With it wired this way, you have low beams, and can still turn on your fogs with the low beams. Once you blink or turn on the highs though, you have high/low/fog.
I suppose you could do a diode wire from the DRL's to the fogs if you wanted them on all the time.
