Sorry forr cross posting but I need to know.

I've got a problem wich I think is related to the hydro boost in my -98 Gmc k1500 6,5L.

Sometimes the steering "slips" and it feels like it's getting stronger power steering (feels like my -84 c10 diesel use to do). Other times I loose almost all power to steering and power brakes and it's practically imposssible to turn the steering wheel.

My thoughts on this is that there might be a overflov valve or pressure valve that is intermittently? failing.
Where wuld I find this little sucker of a valve?

Does anybody know anything 'bout this. It's kind of hard to get any good advice in Sweden. Since there isn't that many people who have seen the light and drives pick-up trucks from the US, there is even fewer mechanics.
Might have somthing to do with the fuelprices ($4,75 a gal) .

Greetings from Sweden

Blue.

Sounds like a flow control valve sticking. It is the large fitting that has the pressure line coming out of it on the back of the P/S pump.

Thanks a million!

It'll be the first thin to come of the truck tomorrow morning.
