I moved 2 cars from Ohio to NY today to help out a fellow member . One was an 08 Land Rover and the other was a 92 honda accord (POS)

I drove onto a Cat scale with a full tank of fuel to see where I was at.

Steer Axle .... 3960 lb
Drive Axle ..... 6640 lb
Trailer Axle ... 10060 lb
Gross Weight..20660 lb

I would love to know how some of these transports are running around with 3 to 4 car wedge trailers and getting pass the DOT weight stations.

I think trailer design and vehicle placement keep them in line as long as smaller cars are hauled. I see them with 2 pickups and a car on them on a 3500 and no way those are legal

It was taking on the PA turnpike not far from carlise. on the way to Ohio with one range Rover on the car into a strong head wind I got 11.1 MPG HC and on the way back with the cars in the pic I got 12.4 . guess a strong head wind kills ya ..

I saw one of those wedges recently w/a ford exploer right on the front right over the pin. He had a small car on the tail to help balance it out which didnt work well. 1 ton dually saggin quite a bit. Id like to know how so many guys in il have b(8000)lb truck plates on `1 ton duallys, those turcks/w/no trailers weigh about that.
