My headlights suck. Anybody replace thiers with upgrades? Do you upgrade the bulb or are there upgrades for the whole assembly? My brights need to be brighter. :D

its the wiring. too weak, voltage drops. both Kennedy & DSG have a light booster wire harness/relay and higher power bulbs. you can also set up the lows to stay on with the high beams. works great.

I have the upgraded wiring harness and think the all 4 on highbeam is the way to go. I also replaced my high beams with 100w halogens (for off road use).

I think there is a composite light available for the european market that throws a better pattern. More later

If you are asking me where I got the 100w lamps, I think they came from DSG or Diesel Injection Service.

I have not seen anyone carrying the e-code composite lamps for a while.

Hm, I'm looking for an improvement, too. New wiring might help a bit since the stock wires are really thin ... E-code lamps might be great, if they actually give better light :) Where to get them?

I've got fog lights, they help a lot in bad wether. Without them, I'd get lost. The stock headlights really suck.

I've run with Kennedy's wiring harness/relays and the rally bulbs (lo and hi beam) for 3 or so years. Made a huge difference. Even now that I can't get the rally bulbs its still much brighter. With careful adjustment of the lamps, you can get pretty good light on the road and not blind oncoming vehicles with the stock housings. Not to say its not a poor design to begin with, but the upgrades can help
