in my NBS 07.5 lmm there is a flat plastic piece on my ceiling right behind the in cab lights, kinda where the old cubby hole was on the classics. the only thing on the piece are a couple of little slits like a vent. what is this for???

I think you are referring to the cabin air temp sensor. A little circle a little over an inch in diameter?

That, or its the peephole for the secret video camera and mic provided by Onstar that the Govt uses to spy on all of us...:D

No, microphone for onstar is clipped onto your overhead center console, driversside. Speaker for onstar is played thru your factory door speakers.

Those little slits are where the Mic is for Onstar. That flat panel also doubles as a switch panels when you have a sunroof and power slider. Hope this helps.

Tom.

Got it, your in a NNBS. Pics above are 01-07 classic.

LOL. Just read it again you arent even referring to something on the ceiling, you are talking about on the console itself. Someone go take a pic I wanna see.

Nah, came that way stock .... :D

Wait, wait, no it didnt lol. When I first bought the truck it was gonna be a show truck and I had a new blue 16" FTS kit for it and a set of new 40 Toyos on 22 Welds for it and so the interior got colormatched to the lift powder. Ended up selling the kit instead and just took foreverrrrrrrrr to pull all the blue out haha. Leather armrests were wrapped, overhead consoles, DVD console, center console, dash surrounds, air vents window switches basically all plastics. Ive got some pics around here somewhere.

That upper console is pretty much the last piece I have to pull out, got a little bit of fab to get the stock one back in so Im bein lazy haha.

Itll all be for sale in a couple days if anyones interested.

Heres a pic of all the other stuff sitting out of the truck.

Heres a couple pics of when it was in. Looked like sh*t with the tan interior IMO.... I hate that color. What was I thinking when I bought this truck to get tan? :faceslap:
