Good description and photos.

You can do this yourself.

It's easier than it looks. If you have any problems or questions, just get online and ask for help. The "how to" link posted above is very informative.

Some people find it faster or easier to pull the clips out of the wheel well liner and pull it back. That takes only a few minutes and lets you access the filter a lot easier.

This is a set of instructions that I copied and retyped from another member form this site. Once you change the filter yourself, you won't let anyone else do it. Do it yourself, and you will know it is done correctly! Steps 1 & 2 are nolt mandatory.

I change mine every time from the top

1. Disconnect both batteries (Not mandatory)
2. Remove passenger side battery from truck, set it next to right front tire
and use it for a step. (I leave the battery in place)
3. Reach in and disconnect water in fuel light wiring
4. Using a rubber strap wrench unscrew filter
5. Remove water in fuel sender
6. Reinstall water in fuel sender in new filter using new o-ring [lube with a
drop of eng oil]
7. Slip new filter assembly down next to battery tray and install using a
new large o-ring [lube with a drop of eng oil]
8. Tighten new fuel filter using rubber strap wrench
9. Reinstall water in fuel wiring
10. Reinstall battery and reconnect cables
11. Remove or loosen plastic screw bleeder in top of fuel filter housing
12. Pump bleeder to refill filter until fuel comes out of bleeder hole and
tighten plastic bleeder screw
13. Pour water on filter housing to get rid of any spilled diesel
14. Start engine and check for leaks

It just took me longer to type this then it takes me to change filter

Definitely use a rubber strap wrench. Makes the job sooo much easier.
