I'm wanting to put in a center console in my 03 chevy 2500 and I was wondering if anybody has any advice. How much is involved, where to find all the parts needed and if anybody has done this about how much did it cost.

I have an 03 and it had the stiff backed center seat and I changed to a fold down console. I found it thru fleabay after the first buy I had sent me a broken part and a second guy had a great one. The main problem I had was finding a console in the cloth that my truck had in it. There are several types of cloth used and it was all called the exact same darn code. I never figured that one out. I went with the seat instead of the cosole down the middle with all the trim that has to happen. I had only 350 in it and it is so close that you really cant tell the difference. I would check on Craiglist, fleabay and good luck in your search. Making the change involved only about an hour of time but it was really worth it in my book

I have the fold down center console. When I first got my truck, I thought about going back to bucket seats, with a true console, but as time went by, and the ability to put a third person up front, I'm glad I have the fold down. I'm sure you'll like the fold down. Keep an eye on Ebay, if you like that place, you'll find a complete seat and console there.
