Basically you cant do it without a tuner or a custom program like EFI Live. Where are you located? Often times people with EFI will tune your truck for you, for a fee (much less than what a canned tuner would be )

Do all of the tuner have buy-able licenses or does anyone make a scanner/tuner to just set a couple codes?

One more off topic query, I need to get a winter cover...best place to find one?

You options are to get a good cheap tuner, Predator comes to mind at around $300. Or you can buy an EFI License and let someone with EFI live give you a tune for the cost of the License, which is $99 IIRC.

For the winter cover, check out the marketplace here. I think ive spotted a few.

A word of warning. If you up to 105 then it is recommended to have tires capable of that speed. Now short times at the speed I would not think be a problem but wanting to stay at this speed may cause tire damage. Now not sure if this can happen but the computer can record everything that is going on. If you wreck and say insurance pulls the data from it an sees 105mph and tire rating of say 94 they could say tough luck. Worst case theory.

Mine are stock bridgestone and info can be found here. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Compare1.jsp?filterType=oe&width=265%2F&ratio=70&diameter=17&autoYear=2007&diameter=17&sortCode=50550&minLoad=E&ratio=70&autoMake=Chevrolet&autoModClar=Crew+Cab&minSpeedRating=R&width=265%2F&autoModel=Silverado+2500+HD+4wd&brand=Bridgestone&filterType=oe&vehicleSearch=true&startIndex=0&search=true&pagelen=20&pagenum=1&pagemark=1&RunFlat=All
Moving mouse over the 114Q section tells me the max speed is 99mph. The Q identifies that rating.

Good point, the tires I am looking at are rated at 112, from Discount tire....I would only be pushing it for short distances anyway..Centrifugal force does some serious #$%^
