I just got a pyro for my truck. My vendor said that Autometer makes 2 different pyro's one for drag racing that registers the temp faster and one for everyday use. Anyone have any input on the two.

sp33d 12-14-2004, 01:20 AM I run a small "comp" pyrometer and it definitely registers the temp changes much faster and is more accurate as it heats and cools faster. It is 1/16" in diameter and I had to have it custom made. I don't know the size of the Autometer comp pyro... Although I suspect a comp probe will not last as long, after 50 VERY hot passes it's still in great condition...
