I got the chance to trade 100 square bales of coastal grass for a chip for the dmax today. It is a Dr. Performance unit rated at 80 hp and 175 lb ft.
http://www.drperformance.com/

the truck hauls ass now but does not seem as powerful as my buds truck with the edge. The unit lists for 595 on the website. I am wondering if anyone knows anything about this box. Is it good, safe, stackable? Does anyone want to buy it from me or trade something for it. Just wondering the lowdown on this unit.

They have been out for awhile and I haven't heard of anyone else running one?

Earlier this year the Dr. Performance (Predator) company was here with their portable Mustang dyno they dyno'd my truck with their device and it showed a rear wheel gain of 41 HP.

It was not very impressive. It did not compare at all to the Edge/Attitude.

dag45661999,

My understanding of the predator plug in box is it only raises fuel pressure AKA a pressure box. The Edge, and van Aaken modules change pressure, timing and pulse width to get you more HP plus lower EGT's and better driveability too.

If you got it cheap great, but if you want more HP you'll have to call us or other sponsors for the different models of boxes to get the max HP performance.

Edge products does not raise fuel rail pressure with their chip.

I found out that the box I got was the old crappy version. They are going to call me back about getting an updated one sent out. If I'm not happy I will just have to charge the guy the usual 4 bucks a bale and put it towards an edger box http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/images/smilies/hihi.gif

The new box also has a boost connector this one does not.
