Any issues with OnStar that I should be concerned with when it comes to tuning with EFIlive. I haven't used EFI on an Onstar equipped vehicle yet and couldn't find anything on the search engine..

I am not the expert, but I believe that if anything is trying to communicate via the bus, you will run the risk of interupting EFI in the middle of a u/l. I know I have heard of people pulling the fuses... I don't have onstar so I can't say for sure... I just make sure I turn everything off that could try and communicate.

OK, better safe than sorry. Thanks...........300 miles on the odometer and problems would be a nice way to start Thanksgiving

I have heard that if you are flashing during the monthly onstar (phone home) check that is when you will run into problems.

First I've heard of this. Any way to tell if onstar is "using the phone"?

tell Onstar to stay away from your truck and you dont need them to check it out!
IMO the only bennifit to Onstar is to unlock the doors!

I have had onstar unplugged since my truck was brand new, I have a better phone than theres for cheaper and my sattelite tracking WILL find my truck and continue to look for more than 48hrs after its stolen. not like ONSTAR

X2... I kinda like having the phone. I have been traveling in places where my p.o.s. Cingular/***/junk phone wouldn't work and I could finish my conversation on the "truck" phone. I flash a lot (cause my tuning ability is not quite "refined" yet) and I haven't even had so much as a hiccup. My buddy was downloading with a Triple Dog and his son rolled the drivers window down in the middle of the flash and locked it up, so who knows:confuzeld

I started out with a Clarion Sirius system and now have pioneer Sirius system.........I have to kill the radio fuse to flash EFI with both.....

I personally pull the onstar fuse when programming especially with factory dvd player installed. I had one pcm go down due to onstar interference, was on a 2005 lly. was half way through programming when onstar woke up, ended up with a new pcm. Even when using techII to program gm recommends pulling info fuse when equipped with dvd player

I always pull TBC BATT, TBC IGN1, Radio, INFO fuses in the box under the hood. mines an 04 truck and I think the earlier trucks have some in the cab that should be pulled

Just where is the fuse for onstar , when we did mine tried pulling radio fuses could not find anything that looked like a onstar fuse . By the way the usb cable was the trouble with down loading , used a new after market usb down load and upload with out any fuses pulled or troubles.
