I would like to know if this is a normal situation. I opened the hood to just check the oil and other fluids. Look at the upper radiator hose on my truck. The hose is partially colapsed. The truck was in the garage and the temp was 64 deg. I fired up the truck and about 5 minutes later(as the temp rose ) the colapse went away. Should this happen with the normal temp changes of the fluid and the expanstion and contraction?

the vacuum release is not working on the screw cap in your surge tank. Unscrew the cap an the hose will pop out to normal.

I have heard of this happening and mine has done it also,I wouldn't be concerned. The cooling system is a closed system and vacuum will occur. As long as it doesn't stay crushed resulting in restricted flow.
