Greetings all. My father-in-law has the exact same truck as me (crew cab, 2 wheel drive, D/A) The only diffrence is he only has a 6' bed and I have an 8'. I advised him to get bilsten shocks as it is time for him to replace them. He doesn't like how stiff my truck rides and would like more of a "comfort ride". I use my truck dailey and pull a work trailer. He do not. Any thoughts? And also, where to buy them?
Thank You

John Kennedy at Kennedy Diesel (check the supporting vendors here) hooked me up with mine over 3 years ago. They make a big difference in ride quality.

Ya, but which ones did you get? I hate mine. How much did you pay?

I've heard the yellow shocks are a little softer than the 5100's. The softest shocks I've been told are the OEM replacements

I ran Belstens on one of my trucks. They worked out fine & I think they were a 60/40. You need to talk with the dealer or rep about the ride you want. The action of the shock i.e. dampening either in or out hence 60/40. Not knowing what type of ride you like it's all a guess. Is the truck empty most of the time, what type of loads are hauled, due you make her grunt, etc. etc.

Mine are the yellow 6082s, and my truck suspension is stock. I don't remember what I paid for them.
