Just wanted to let you know that I have found one 285 in a load E. Most 285's are load D and have a capacity of approx. 3100 lbs.
The TOYO M-55 comercial tire comes in a LT285/75/16 Load E! It has a capacity of 3740!
Just thought I would drop a line for those of you who want a 285 but insist on a load E tire. Now you can have your cake and eat it to.
Got Juice?

I posted on that very same tire. Commercial rated and great wear.... hard as a rock though, and they do 'sing' a bit on the highway

It is hard if not imposible to find something that work in every aspect.
Just keep in mind that this is the rating for each corner and if you these tires are not rated for icy conditions you might consider a D load rating with winter in mind.

Just for an FYI.
I just picked up another set of 285/75/16 Bridgestone REVO's for my truck this afternoon.
Got about 48k+ mile out of them. Would have got a lot more if it was not for the Juice.
Anyway, I looked on the sidewall and they are rated at 3305 lbs @ 65 psi. 7 ply sidewalls.
They ride great, dont sing and are great in rain, snow, mud.

Bronco - I cannot thank you enough for this information. Been looking for a decent 10 ply 285 for 3 years. There is a 10 ply 285 made in a off brand, but it really isn't decent. Toyo dealer had been telling me for 3 years that no one made one. Today, I walked in, made him look up M-55 commercial, and guess what, there it is. Further more, they had 2 sets in stock, one studded and one plain. The plain are now on my truck and headed to Guatemala soon. Thanks for the info. Made my DAY!
