Hey everyone. Just wanted to say I enjoy your site and can't wait to get my first diesel. All the posts I see here are refreshing due to the lack of flames and people not taking any and everything personal.
There's an '08 GMC 2500HD CCSB that I drive by every day...if it wasn't $47k I'd own it. Should probably finish grad school first though, huh?

Dealers will knock a good bit off of sticker. I bet you could easily get it for low 40s.
Good Luck! :-)

I agree but it's temping while working full-time and having school paid for. Just have to be patient...:)
Besides I'll let them work out the kinks with the emissions, or that's what I'll tell myself at least!

Actually have a line on what appears to be a really good deal for a used Duramax. Future father-in-law can get me a truck for wholesale, no dealer markup. And he says they cover OH, WV and PA so it wouldn't be a huge waiting game for one to come into my area.
Would anyone mind helping me with some $ figures, either in this thread or via PM? I can afford be a tad picky time-wise, waiting for a CCSB 2500 4x4 with relatively low miles (60-80k) and loaded. I'd prefer an early Chevy as I don't like the slanted front (would go with it for the right deal though) or any year GMC. I'd really prefer the GMC but I don't think that will play into the pricing too much.
I've read up here quite a bit and I think that any engine code Duramax would be fine for me. I won't be towing hardly at all and really am looking for a diesel for the longevity and performance. Would probably go with the newest model that I can afford.
Thanks in advance for any help. I know I'm being quite broad here, and have probably forgotten something.

Sorry to keep bumping myself. I actually had a buddy call me today, wants to buy the 92. So I may have my Duramax sooner than I had anticipated!
I hate to ask again so soon, but is anyone able to toss some numbers back and forth with me? I know I can look at kbb.com, etc. but was hoping for more of a "gut feeling" in regards to price ranges I should look for.
Thanks in advance, toss a reply here or a PM if you have a second to help me out.
