The CD player will not accept any CDs when they are inserted. It just clicks several times and says "Check CD". Anyone have this problem before I let the dealer tear apart my dash?

Better taste in music..... possibly your CD player does not like the same music you do?

LOL... seriously, get it replaced under warranty.... Dash and CD player unit can be replaced in 20 minutes!

My dealer took care of mine!

If it's warranty, take it to the dealer.

Mine did the same thing. Dealer replaced it with a new unit under warranty. Works great now!

Do you have a 2-year-old son? Did he break up a CD and jamb it in your
CD player? If so we have the same exact problem!

Any one else have sugestions for solutions. I am now experecing this problem and would love to be able to fix it with out having to go the the dealer and be with our my truck for days on end.

I agree, don't like to be with my truck either.
I can get mine to work if I just give it a little force when I push the CD in.

I had mine changed out at the dealer before, they just took all the info; ordered a replacement; had it the next day. They installed it while I waited. Never was without my truck, I just couldn't play cd's. Give them a call, they should be able to do the same for you.

Had the same problem. The dealer says it has been common and it was replaced under the warranty.

If the cd was scratched it well set an error. Pull the player out, unplug it and plug it back in. Kind of resets it. Worked for mine twice.

These stereos are crap. ;-(

Juice took my line.... I was going to say that, but oh well... Take it in and have them look at it and clean it, if it still does it. Have them replace it... Simple as that...

Dealer I work at removes radio, sends in to specmo for swap usually in 1-2 days. Can remove radio and you can bring vehicle back 2 days later for install.
