:D We placed a factory order for a 2008 GMC 3500 SLT DMAX/Allison EC SRW 4x4 through our dealer almost exactly one month ago. I was blown away today when my salesman called to say my truck was in! We are having the stealership, opps! I mean dealership install some GMC molded mud flaps and a chrome bug shield, but will purchase other accessories from other sources.
In my 40 years of driving I have owned about 40 cars and pickups. This will be the first diesel motor vehicle. I sure hope all you diesel owners are right about the benefits of the diesel motor, as I will need to trade in or sell our beloved 2006 GMC 2500 SLT EC 4x4 8.1/Allison in order to afford the new truck. The truck is silver birch on the outside and light and dark titanium leather on the inside. The only option we did not order was the navigation system and sunroof.
We plan to pick up the truck tomorrow. Man-oh-man is my wallet going to be flatter!!!:(

I've had mine for 6 weeks, and I've never looked back. The MPG is about the same as my 2000 5.3 litre EC Z71, but I've got sooo much more power to pull my RV. I still have a smile on my face every time I walk up to the truck, but I do have to agree about the wallet:rolleyes:
