The suburban is a nice truck to drive. Rides nice, handles nice etc. The Excursion is too damn big. Hard to park, rides like a tank, hard on fuel (gas models). Too top it off they are expensive and the resale value is terrible. Of course this is just my opinion but I can see why they didn't do well.

Ditto what he said. And besides, most soccer moms want something that is easy to drive, park and still want to get their money's worth out of it...

Just think of how worse it may have done if the Suburban had the DMax...The lincoln Aviator is being discontinued also, if any one really cares.

Jetskis are too slow.................my spanish also sucks.
I called GM the other day to ask when (if ever) there will be a suburban with the duramax and allison option? They said it will be available in the 06 model. Of course I'm not sure how much to believe that, when they said it would be one or two years after the Silverado/Sierra were offered with them.

Duramax in the suburban? I've heard that one before. I bought an '02 Excursion in 2002 and love it. It does not ride like a tank, is easier to park than my 2500HD and has a much better turning radius and gets 19mpg on highway hand calculated. It is big and rides smooth but firm and does not have that mushy ride my 99 suburban had which I traded in on the Ex.
